How to Be Truly Happy at Work

How to Be Truly Happy at Work We spend a lot of our time at work, so we want to feel happy in our jobs. By finding a job and working environment we enjoy being in, we naturally feel more motivated and driven to achieve our best. But how exactly can we go about this?  Naomi Simson  came up with four stages to having more fun at work. 1. Get social Humans are naturally social creatures and its important for us to interact and connect with other people, both in our personal lives and in the workplace. It doesnt take much to get to know your colleagues and by putting in just a little bit of effort each day, such as offering to do a morning coffee run, you can form positive relationships with those around you. After all, we spend a great deal of time at work each week, so you want to get along with the people youre sharing the office with day in day out. If youd like to get to know them a bit better, you could suggest taking your lunch break with a couple of colleagues or starting an office book club. 2. Jump at opportunities Its easy to become bored in a job that you dont feel stimulated by. Seek out opportunities that challenge you professionally and show initiative by asking your boss if theres anything you can help with or suggesting a new project you would like to work on. By showing drive and passion in your work, its bound to get noticed by your boss and will hopefully lead to some form of recognition or reward for your hard work,  which is always nice! 3. Seek change If theres something in particular that is making you unhappy or is bothering you in some way at work, dont be afraid to bring up the issue with your boss. By  coming  up with a possible resolution to the issue, Im sure theyd be more than happy to accommodate changes in your job to improve the situation. You should feel like you can stand up for yourself and if its important to you, you should address it head on, rather than suffering in silence or complaining to other colleagues, which is bound to backfire! 4. Help others Not only does doing things for other people help them out, but it also makes you feel pretty good about yourself for it too! So do what you can to make those around you happy and youll feel happy in return. You can achieve this by acknowledging good work from your colleagues or paying them compliments. Also if they look a bit stressed or piled under, why not ask if you can lend them a hand? Im sure theyll be more than happy to return the favour when youre in need of assistance.

What Do You Need to Know About Writing Skill Resume?

What Do You Need to Know About Writing Skill Resume? For any industry that is based on advertising, a good writing skill resume is vital. A resume is an attempt to entice a hiring manager into reading the entire document, rather than just one small paragraph. The resume is a very important part of your interview and not having a good one is akin to having no resume at all.The writing of a resume is not an easy task. Every aspect of the process requires a special kind of writing skill. If you do not know how to write a good resume you can hire a professional to write it for you. This will be the most expensive option, but is worth it in the long run.It can be confusing for job seekers when they are filling out applications for jobs. It is understandable because the process is complex. A good writing skill resume should be clear and direct to the point. It should also include a section for relevant experience in the previous job. In addition, it should also give some useful information about the position in general. As with anything in life, what you know and what you have not worked on will make the difference between being hired and being passed over. Employers like to know a person's work experience. So, while you're sitting at home looking through job listings, you can simply look for the requirements for the job. With writing resumes this is quite easy because employers need to know where you've been and what you've done before.Employers want to know that you know how to do basic tasks and that you have a basic knowledge of the job that you're applying for. You need to have a job or a background that shows experience in the area of the job that you are applying for. If you are looking for a job as a data entry clerk, you should provide some of your personal information, like your name, address, phone number, and email address.A good writing skill resume is usually quite lengthy. This is because employers want to know what you have done, not necessarily how goo d you are at doing it. Therefore, it is extremely important that you spend some time looking through the available job listings and researching the job title.Do a little research about the specific job that you are applying for. Then, you can get the first few lines of your written resume writing. When it comes to formatting, make sure that you read the manual provided by Microsoft Word so that you can format your document properly.Remember, your writing skill resume can set you apart from others. Employers want to know about past experiences and how they can relate to the current one. Make sure that you spend time writing your resume and keep it well-formatted.

Why I Like Facebook

Why I Like Facebook A colleague of mine recently emailed me this post from CIO.com about Facebook and how this popular social networking tool can distract people and sap productivity. While the blogger makes some valid points about the questionable usefulness of certain Facebook applications and peoples tendency to get lost on-line, I have to say I still think that Facebook is a great business and social networking tool. Heres why.Facebook makes it easy for me to let my friends, colleagues, and clients know that I am thinking of them. It reminds me when my contacts birthdays are, lets me share interesting articles, photos, and videos to groups of friends, and helps me get to know the personal side of my contacts, not just the business side.Facebook is sticky and I have a reason to go there everyday. Facebook updates me on what everyone in my network is doing on a daily basissure a lot of the information is useless or silly, but sometimes theres a golden nugget about a friend or colleagues success, an up coming industry event, a reunion, a book recommendation, or an interesting product or service.Facebook is fun. Sometimes after Ive just completed a project or when Im stuck on how to tackle a new project, I jump on Facebook. Distraction? MaybeBut sometimes a distraction is just what I need to get the creative juices flowing for the next project. If Im stuck on a project that my contacts may be able to help me with, I pose a question to the group and get invaluable advice that helps propel me forward.Facebook lets people get to know me better. People build relationships based on frequency of encounters and trust. Facebook simply expedites this process and helps people get to know me faster. Once an authentic relationship is established we can begin to share information that will help each other. If you want to learn more about Facebook and how to get the most out of it, check out Jason Alba and Jesse Stays new book, Im on FacebookNow What??? here.
